On March 5, 2014, winners of the Red Dot Award of Germany, the top award for design in the world, were announced. The WOW!dea MOCA X7 Multi-functional Portable Data Card and the WOW!dea MOCA XP Ultra-thin Wireless Router and Charger received two awards for design.
The Red Dot Award has become a symbol of internationally recognized innovation and design, and winning this prize means that the product obtains the most authoritative “quality assurance” in both appearance and texture. Moreover, the winners will be publicized and promoted in a wide scope. Nearly 5,000 products from 53 countries competed for the Red Dot Award in 2014, and winners were selected by 40 experts in various industrial fields and enjoying a high reputation in the international community. Apple, Sony, Motorola and Lenovo are on the previous lists of Red Dot Award winners.
WOW!dea MOCA X7 and MOCA XP won two Red Dot Awards this time, and it indicates that the international paragon of industrial design recognizes WOW!dea’s design concept and competitiveness, as well as the innovation, practicality and quality of products. Winners will be recorded in the Red Dot Design Yearbook 2014(WORKING) and presented at the global catalogue of Red Dot Award. Moreover, they will be exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen in Germany.
The WOW!dea MOCA X7 Multi-functional Portable Data Card, with the design concept of “digital army knife”, functions as a USB storage device, a TF card reader, a data synchronization cable, a charging cable, a backup SIM card carrier, a SIM card removing tool and a screen cleaning tool. With the size of a business card (84X56mm) and a thickness of only 5mm, it fits easily into a wallet or card pouch.
